Finish dinner 30+ minutes before showtime. Most restaurants offer pre-theater menus.
Highly recommended, especially for evening performances. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Most listed restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walk. Factor in extra time during busy hours.

The place looked gorgeous, and the concert was wonderful, but the staff of ushers were terrible. We were told to take the elevator to the top floor and take the stairs, when we got to the floor, the door was locked and we were redirected to the floor below only to walk up two flights of stairs!! Furthermore, the guy waiting in line in front of me was told to enter the auditorium enter from a different floor even though he was originally directed by another staff member to go to the floor where we both made the line for. When we confronted the ushers over the miscommunication and lack of proper guidance, they just passed it off as bad communication. Doesn't this place afford radio equipment for the staff to coordinate amongst each other rather than put us through all of this BS. It is surprising that such a reputable place like Carnegie Hall can have such mediocre staffing.
Absolutely love coming to this world-famous concert hall. I have been here many times, and each time, I am blown away by the sheer awesomeness of Carnegie Hall. The acoustics are great no matter where you sit. The seating is comfortable, and best of all, they have free Ricola cough drops! The staff are also very friendly and nice. The stage is absolutely breathtaking and the views from the higher balconies are stunning.
My home away from home. Best acoustics in the US. The most civilized music venue in the world
The sound is perfect in this room at Carnegie Hall. It's hard to believe something built 130+ years ago, has better acoustics than modern theaters, but Stern Auditorium does! We sat in the first balcony box, dead center from the stage for Beck with an 85-piece orchestra. Seats were very comfortable and sightings clean. It's a beautiful facility. Everyone should see a concert there at least once
Beautiful venue and so much history. Take the tour and definitely visit the museum.
