Highly recommended, especially for evening performances. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Most listed restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walk. Factor in extra time during busy hours.

Nice venue. Friendly staff. Saw Classic Seger, fantastic tribute band.
This theater is dark & musky. BAD stage, sound, lights, and very small, the stage is way to close to the seats. It smelled very bad and musky, it ruined my entire experience. I sure hope you invest in updating this theater and not uping the rental price to apologize to all the groups and performances that got stuck with ruining the show. Not to mention when all the fog poured out directly onto the front row to breathe in. I think it's time for performing arts to have a upgrade in general, globally. I came for a dance class assignment to watch a live performance.
This is a great local venue for Ventura County. Get tickets up front, if you can. We saw Ticket to Ride, a great Beatles revival band there recently.
The Scherr Forum has about 400 seats, making it perfect for cover bands, like Bohemian Queen.
Nice theatre. I was in the second row but it looked like the view was fine for all seats.
