A beautiful, large venue to see a show in! I’ve only ever performed on the smaller stage, but it is very lovely and well-maintained, and the crew/employees working behind the scenes are intelligent, helpful, and kind! I’ve seen shows in the larger theater and it was a stunning experience! The design is beautiful and the staff, again, are so helpful and fun to chat with. I also had a sandwich from the cafe on the first floor before the show, and it was very yummy!! I highly enjoyed seeing a show here, and I definitely recommend it!!
I had the privilege of seeing The Thorn at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. The performance blended powerful storytelling, stunning choreography, and immersive visuals in a way that made Scripture and history feel alive on stage. The opening scenes transported us straight into Rome’s Colosseum—capturing the raw intensity of power and control, and reminding us how people were once used as pawns in the games of empires. From there, the production moved seamlessly into a spiritual battle of angels and demons that left the entire audience captivated. What impressed me most was how The Thorn balances art, faith, and emotion. It wasn’t just a play—it was an experience. The dancers, acrobats, and actors brought a raw, physical dimension to the story of Christ’s sacrifice and redemption. At moments, it felt like heaven and earth collided right there in the theater. The Kentucky Center itself provided the perfect setting—comfortable seating, excellent acoustics, and a staff that was both friendly and professional. If you ever have the chance to see The Thorn here, don’t hesitate. It’s more than a show—it’s a reminder of the greatest story ever told, and you’ll walk away deeply moved.
Please pay mind to the cheaper seats are high up and yes a distance away. We seen Morgan Freeman with the Louisville orchestra which was awesome. But Morgan Freeman was only apart of the jazz history program for less than 10 minutes and he had a hat on and we were in the nose bleed section. What is disappointment the program was. But we would definitely go back to see a little more orchestra again they were awesome 💯
We have seen several shows and concerts in this venue. It's a beautiful space, and from what I can tell there are no bad seats here.
Always have a good time at every event that I've been to the staff is usually friendly bathrooms are clean and the parking is not the worst
